Big Idea 5.6 Safe Computing

Popcorn Hack #1

A Fingerprint

Popcorn Hack #2

A. A password used to log into an email account. D. A username required to log in.

These are both correct since they are both only single-factor authentication while B and C are multi-factor.

Popcorn Hack #3

B. Finn and Gwen develop a system that maps each letter of the alphabet to a unique symbol using a secret key. Finn uses the key to write a message to Gwen where each letter is replaced with the corresponding symbol. Gwen uses the key to map each symbol back to the original letter.

Popcorn Hack #4

This is an example of a strong password since it is long, above 16 characters, uses both uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols, and doesn’t contain any easy to recognize character combonations or words, making a it hard for a hacker or computer to fix it. I discussed this with Rayhaan and we both can to similar agreements on why this was a strong password.
